    Lopez Lake Recreation Area

    Located 10 mi (16 km) from Arroyo Grand and 15 mi (24 km) from Pismo Beach, Lopez Lake Recreation Area is a popular year-round destination for both land and water activities. Surrounding the lake is 22 mi (35 km) of shoreline, which welcomes swimmers, anglers, picnickers, birdwatchers and sunbathers. The area also supports horseback riding, water skiing, boating, camping, sailing, hiking, mountain biking and much more. The lake covers 1,000 acres and has a summer temperature of 70F (21C).
